Pula can not boast of the advanced international line traffic. The single international line from the port of Pula is the line Venice - Pula - Venice. Catamaran on route Venice - Pula- Venice sails several times a week and that only during the tourist season. The advantage of this line is that sailing by catamaran from Pula to Venice takes about one hour, disadvantage is that vehicles can not be transported, but persons and personal belongings only. The company dealing with line transportation on the route Venice - Pula – Venice is Venezia Lines, and besides this line Venice - Pula, the company’s catamaran sails also on the route Venice - Rovinj, Venice - Porec, Venice - Rabac, Venice - Losinj and Venice - Piran.

Furthermore, Pula is connected poorly with other Adriatic ports. From Pula not a single ferryboat is sailing out, so it’s impossible to arrive by one’s own car to any island from Pula. The only domestic line from Pula is Pula - Zadar where sails catamaran Bisevo, of Split Tours company. Catamaran Bisevo on the route Pula - Ilovik - Mali Losinj - Unije - Zadar sails five times a week in July and August and also twice a week in June and September. The advantage of this line is for sure that bicycles may be transported and it is perfect for one-day excursions by bicycle from Pula to Unije or to Ilovik.

For 30 years the ship Marina had sailed on the route Pula – Zadar, but in 2005 this cult ship Marina was banned to sail because of its advanced years.
